Techno Fleece Backed EPDM Roll 2.6mm

TRC Fleece Backed EPDM is a high-performance 2.6mm roofing membrane designed with durability and ease of use in mind. TRC’s advanced manufacturing combines a 1.2mm Techno EPDM membrane with a tough, 300 gm polypropylene fleece backing, reducing tearing, punctures and membrane shrinkage whilst maintaining flexibility and supporting the ease of installation, whilst also coming with a 25 year warranty.

TRC Techno Rubber Company vulcanise their EPDM membrane to the high-quality polypropylene fleece material, creating a chemical bond that is highly resistant to heat and much stronger than just gluing. This significantly reduces the risk of delamination and gives TRC Fleece Backed EPDM a life expectancy of 50 years.

Why vulcanised bonds are much stronger:

1.    Vulcanisation chemically bonds the fleece to the EPDM itself so the two become bonded beyond just the surface level

2.    Adhesives degrade over time, especially when exposed to UV rays, heat or water. This creates weak points, but bonding with vulcanisation has no weak points

3.    The vulcanisation process ensures the entire membrane and fleece is bonded the same way across the whole roll, creating uniform elasticity and strength
